My story is as of many have told before. I became slowly ill and incapable of performing the heavy workload of my trade as a master plumber.

Unable to sleep, loss of appetite and energy,then constantly sick to my stomach. After 7 years of misdiagnoses by the V.A. my anger turned to rage and put me in the position to finally be diagnosed with Hep C 1a. The DOD in 1998 was in denial of any Hep C cases related to military service so for 5 years i was on my own with no help and no explanation of the disease.With a heart problem on top of everything else there was no one to turn to otherwise.

With the help of others like me I was able to put together the much needed information to start my own recovery program which existed of the ingestion of live enzymes and a controlled diet which is why I am alive today. I wake up every morning sick and i go to bed at night sick but the key word for me is I am (able) to get up.The help that i have received from State or Federal agencies is the same level of help I got from local agencies which is nothing but a hard time.I fought 5 years to get the DOD to open records that they told me were destroyed.

It took some very graphic photos of my combat expierence in Vietnam to prove that I was a combat soldier which I sent to over 150 congressmen and senators throughout the United States.I had to prove that i was a combat soldier and was exposed to blood in combat situations.

Today I know what to expect of my own immune system and how to adjust to the ups and downs of my illness and i truly believe that there is no medical miracle that can change what has been done to our already fragile immune systems through our own cultural evolution.I believe that if science continues to push synthetics in the pharmaceutical industry and people continue to believe in those synthetics the human immune system will no longer exist
